CCF Student Profiles

Outstanding student Haider Mukhles achieved a run of A*’s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics. He is ecstatic to have secured a place at the University of Oxford to study Engineering. He advises future students to put the work in and they will get the results they want. Haider complimented the ongoing support of all of his teachers and is excited to achieve his dream of attending Oxford University.

“The teachers at Christ’s College Finchley encouraged me to be independent and taught me never to give up. They helped me to achieve my dream of attending Oxford when I didn’t think it was going to be an option when I started Sixth Form.”

High achieving student Mubeen Toufiq is leaving CCF Sixth Form with incredible results including 3 A’s in Maths, Chemistry and Biology. He is planning to further his education by going to Queen Mary’s University to study medicine. Mubeen feels that CCF helped him to achieve these impressive results because of the high standards they always set. His advice to future students would be to always aim high and ask for help from teachers if you need it as there is a large and accessible support network at the school. “Work hard from the start of the year. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.”

Dominic Rodriguez has achieved remarkable grades in Maths, Further Maths and Physics (A*, A, B.) He is looking forward to studying a degree in Masters in Physics and hopes to one day work in the city as an Insurance Broker. Dominic would recommend CCF Sixth Form because of the motivating environment and endless opportunities provided. He describes the teachers as always going above and beyond.

“I would advise future students to listen to the teachers and ask as many questions as possible!”

William Keegan is delighted with his grades including 1 B and 2 C’s in PE, Maths and Politics. He has secured a place at Swansea University to study Accounting and Finance. He commented on the fantastic advice and support he received surrounding both university and career choices.

“I am so grateful to the teachers for building my confidence and self-belief. They haven’t just prepared me for University but they have prepared me for life.’

In September Gabriel Grant will begin studying for his degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham. He achieved a remarkable set of A Level results including 3 A’s in Maths, Chemistry and Physics. Gabriel would recommend the Sixth Form because of the dedicated staff, who push every student to succeed. He has been provided with many opportunities at CCF and believes the support from his teachers were key in motivating him to achieve his full potential and impressive results.

“My advice to future students is to work really hard from the beginning and don’t be afraid to ask for help. The teachers are there to push you to your full potential. They believe in you so you must believe in yourself.”

Petrit Krasniqi is celebrating two impressive distinction grades in BTEC Sport and ICT. He is planning on studying Sport Science at Brunel University. He commented on how teachers were supportive and noted the valuable opportunities the school has to offer. He describes the atmosphere as relaxing and motivating. Petrit would recommend CCF Sixth Form because it has all the amenities necessary for success including a new, purpose built centre and commented on the teacher’s dedication to their students to ensure they achieve their full potential.

“The staff maintain an open door policy which all students are very grateful for. I feel that my grades speak for themselves; you are guaranteed success at CCF!”

Grace O’Connell is ecstatic to achieve 3 A’s in Psychology, English Language, Business Studies and a B in Spanish. She is excited to be accepting a place at Bristol University to study law and follow her dream of becoming a successful Lawyer. Grace talks positively of her experiences and is pleased that she chose to study at CCF Sixth Form. She advises students starting their A levels to not leave anything to the last minute.

 Leandro Figueiredo is thrilled to have been offered unconditional places at both the University of Greenwich and the University of Bedfordshire to study Sport Science. He described the incredible opportunities Christ’s College Finchley provided during the UCAS application process and wishes all his peers the best of luck for the future.

“The teachers at CCF have made my experience the best it could possibly be.”

Wafi Shinwari is celebrating after successfully being accepted into City University of London to study Law. Despite finding the examinations challenging, he praises the enthusiasm and dedication of his teachers and peers, who have inspired him to aim high and follow his dreams. Wafi is delighted with his results AAB in Psychology, Sociology and English.

“Don’t leave revision until the last minute. The teachers are always encouraging you to become more independent. They also helped me throughout the University application process. This made life at CCF much less stressful!”
