We are delighted with the national publication of our high Progress 8 score of 0.31 (we expect 0.35 validated in January)
This amazing result places us in the top 20% of schools nationally
Our students also achieved highly at Attainment 8 with a score of 53.4, 5.2 points above the national average (48.2)
Attainment 8 measures the achievement of our students across 8 subjects* and Progress 8 measures how well they have achieved across these 8 subjects compared to pupils with similar attainment at the end of primary school
Nearly a quarter (24%) of our students also achieved the English Baccalaureate (Ebacc), attaining a high A* to C grade in the core academic subjects of English, maths, sciences, history or geography and a language
73% (76% expected after validation) attained a high A* to C grade in English and maths, 14 percentage points above the national average (59%)
We are delighted with the achievement of our students and staff this year, a reflection of their hard work and testament to the outstanding quality of education being delivered at our school. We continue as Barnet’s most improved school (2013-16 based on Department for Education attainment figures)
*Attainment 8 subjects include: English, maths, 3 further Ebacc – subjects sciences, computer science, history, geography and languages and 3 other additional approved qualifications.
