GCSE Results 2021
Strengthened by adversity and dreaming big
Christ’s College Finchley has been celebrating the successes of its pupils at this year’s GCSE results day. Once again, a difficult year for pupils but they have taken each step with confidence and commitment. The results achieved are the truly deserved rewards of pupils’ determination and hard work and a testament to the dedication and support provided by staff.
Pupils have excelled across a number of subjects including Chemistry, Physics, Religion & Philosophy and English. The percentage of pupils achieving top grades remains impressive, as pupils proved they have truly encapsulated the school’s promise of achieving excellence, with 74% having attained 9-4 grades including English and Maths and 66% achieving 9-5 grades within the same measure.
The school is delighted with the number of pupils staying on at CCF Sixth Form with many commenting on student and staff role models and being inspired by the successes of CCF Sixth Form students.
In this year’s GCSE cohort there are so many individual stories of hard work, commitment and ability tied up in these results and we commend all involved for everything they have achieved.
Enrolment into the school’s popular Sixth Form begins today as our pupils take the next step in their educational journey. We can’t wait to welcome them back in September!
Mr Olusanya, Headteacher commented:
Pupils rose to the challenge under difficult circumstances, and I am certain that they will continue to flourish on their successful journeys. I am immensely proud of the dedication, resilience and adaptability they have demonstrated throughout the GCSE process and as a school we are incredibly honoured to have been part of their secondary education life. I would like to take this opportunity to thank staff for their ongoing dedication to our pupils, and our successful Sixth Form team can’t wait to welcome these remarkable young people back in September.
Mr Depala, Head of Year 11:
The results attained are not only a testament to their exams, but the commitment, dedication and passion they have displayed over the last few years, overcoming challenge after challenge and demonstrating maturity and persistence to reach their goals. Wishing our pupils the very best in their next endeavours.
