MyZone (PSHE/SRE)
Introduction
MyZone is our school’s PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education) and SRE (Sex and Relationships Education) curriculum. It equips students with the essential knowledge, skills, and understanding they need to lead safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives—both now and in the future.
MyZone reflects the realities of growing up in today’s world. Through themes such as My Health, My Relationships, My Technology, My World, My Future, and My Impact, students explore vital topics including mental health, puberty, consent, online safety, financial literacy, and social responsibility. Lessons are inclusive, age-appropriate, and structured to develop emotional intelligence, resilience, and confidence across all year groups.
Our curriculum is fully in line with the latest statutory government guidance on Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE), and is designed to meet the needs of all learners in a diverse and ever-changing society. It also promotes British Values and supports our school’s core values, of Tradition, Aspiration, and Success, by helping students grow into well-rounded, compassionate, and
aspirational young people.
MyZone not only supports wellbeing and personal and academic success but helps students understand themselves and others, empowering them to make informed choices and play a positive role in their communities.

Aims
The MyZone curriculum aims to support the personal development, wellbeing, and life preparedness of every student. We do this by delivering an inclusive, progressive, and relevant PSHE and SRE education that reflects both statutory requirements and the lived experiences of our pupils.
We aim to:
- Provide all students with a safe, respectful space to explore personal, social,
emotional, and digital challenges relevant to modern life. - Ensure all pupils, regardless of background or ability, can access the curriculum and experience success in their personal development.
- Equip students with the knowledge and confidence to make informed, safe, and healthy choices in all aspects of life.
- Develop students’ emotional literacy, self-awareness, and resilience to support mental wellbeing and personal growth.
- Foster understanding and respect for diversity, promoting equality, inclusion, and compassion within our school and wider society.
- Enable students to understand and navigate relationships, consent, identity, and influence in a modern, digital world.
- Encourage students to reflect on their own values, aspirations, and responsibilities as members of their local, national, and global communities
- Prepare students to thrive beyond school, supporting them with the skills
needed for careers, financial independence, and active citizenship.
