Tackling local air pollution
We are extremely excited to announce that we have been selected to participate in the Breathe London Community Programme.
This initiative, which is now in its second round, aims to empower communities living in areas with poor air quality to make positive change with access to real-time local air quality data.
Christ’s College Finchley are one of 30 London community groups who will receive air quality sensors, expanding access to data and technology to measure air pollution in our community. As well as getting a sensor we will receive support from Environmental Research Group at Imperial College London to analyse the data.
“Joining the Breathe London Community Programme will provide our pupils with an exceptional opportunity to understand the air pollution levels in our local area. The data will allow us to galvanise support within the school and local community for cleaner air and help us to implement a real world impact that our pupils can be proud of. ” Chloe Marden & Sharmin Tarique
