What happens if my child is late to school?

Students who are late to school will serve a lunchtime (30 mins) or after school (15 mins) detention on the same day.  Please ensure your child is on time for school every day. Please see school timings in the table above.

What should I do if my child is absent?

When a child is absent from school, parents should telephone the School on the first day and inform the school of the reason. Only illness or emergencies are sufficient reasons for absence from school.  Absence seriously interrupts the progress of any pupil and it is to be avoided whenever possible. On returning to school a note should be provided to Mrs Neville, School Officer explaining the reason for absence.  This applies even to absences of half a day.

If a pupil in Years 7 to 11 needs to leave school at any time during the day he must have a note from his parents, countersigned by a Deputy Head or the Learning Manager.  Students must sign the ‘Out of School’ book.
