Remote Learning

Learning at home can be challenging for both pupils and parents, and as not every pupils’ home learning situation is exactly the same we have designed and continue to develop our remote learning provision to be as inclusive as
possible.

The  information in our Remote Education Provision document is intended to provide clarity and transparency to pupils and parents or carers about what to expect from CCF’s remote education provision when national or local restrictions require entire cohorts, tutor group bubbles to remain at home.

Remote Learning Timetables

Year 7 Week 2 1st-5th March 2021

Year 8 Week 2 1st-5th March 2021

Year 9 Week 2 1st-5th March 2021

KS3
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday Year 8 will continue to have a mix of live lessons and set tasks.
Tuesday and Friday all Year 8 teachers will be setting tasks to enable pupils to come onto site to have their test at their allocated Tutor group time. These set tasks will be much shorter than usual as we realise that many pupils will be spending time travelling to and from school and will therefore not have the full day to complete their school work.
KS4
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday Year 10 and Year 11 will continue to have the majority of their lessons live with Year 10 having a set task P5.
Monday and Thursday all Year 10 teachers will be setting tasks to enable pupils to come onto site to have their test at their allocated Tutor group time. These set tasks will be much shorter than usual as we realise that many pupils will be spending time travelling to and from school and will therefore not have the full day to complete their school work.

Asymptomatic Lateral Flow Testing

Provision is being made for all students to be tested 3 times, 3 to 5 days apart to facilitate a safe return to school for all. From Monday 15th March 2021 subsequent testing will take place at home for pupils and staff with 2 x weekly lateral flow tests. This testing is important to help us reduce the prevalence of the virus on school and to help keep pupils, staff and their families safe. Parents of pupils in Year 7-11 must complete the consent form (https://forms.gle/YvfaCvDDu4VjDdri7) for their child to take part in testing on site, while students in sixth form have been sent consent forms directly. If, for any reason, you now wish to withdraw consent, you must email kew@ccfplus.com to inform us.

Pupils who have tested positive for Covid in the previous 90 days should not be tested.

We are keen to test students before their return to school in order that we are as sure as we can be that no asymptomatic students attend school. As students will have to travel into and out of school at various times during this day and as staff will be preparing for face to face teaching and helping with the testing, there will be a reduction in live lessons next week.

Please see the below table for your child’s allocated time slot. Pupils must walk around the building to the west wing playground wearing a face covering and observing safe social distancing. Pupils will then be escorted to the asymptomatic testing site (the gym) where they will self-swab before leaving via the one way system and exiting the building through the PE corridor.
